Indian PM Narendra Modi calls the President

The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a special telephone conversation with President Maithripala Sirisena, today (22).

The Indian Prime Minister expressed condolences on behalf of the Government of India as well as on his personal behalf over the tragic incident that Sri Lanka had encountered with. He said that India is willing to provide any assistance at any time to curb terrorism.

The Indian Prime Minister further stated that in this difficult situation the Government of India and its citizens are with the Sri Lankan citizens and said that the relationship between the two countries will remain in a strong manner in the future as well.
