A meeting between President Maithripala Sirisena and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) electoral organizers was held at the President’s House, today (31).
During this meeting, the President apprised the organizers regarding the current political situation of the country as well as about the reasons which led to form the new government.
All the SLFP organizers pledged to extend their fullest support to the future activities of the new government.
Furthermore, they assured to actively provide their assistance for the development programmes conducted under the leadership of the President.
The General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Prof. Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa, General Secretary of UPFA Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, and Minister Mahinda Samarasinghe and several senior members of SLFP were present in this event.
