President Maithripala Sirisena opened the newly built Seema Malakaya and the two-storeyed building with the Dhathu Mandiraya, at the Navinna Raja Maha Viharaya in Navinna, Maharagama, yesterday (19).
This new Seema Malakaya and the Dhathu Mandiraya built at a cost of over 10 million rupees.
The President visited the temple at the invitation of the Chief Incumbent of the Navinna Raja Maha Viharaya and the Monaragala District Chief Sanghanayaka Ven Paradande Indrarathana thero and he also engaged in religious observances and secured blessings. Later, President Sirisena declare opening of the plaque opened the two-storeyed building comprised of Seema Malakaya and Dhathu Mandiraya.
The Maha Sangha including Ven. Dr. Ittapana Dhammalankara Nayaka Thero of Kotte Sri Kalyani Samagri Dharma Maha Sangha Sabha, Ven. Prof. Bellanwila Wimalaratana Nayaka Thero, Ven. Pathberiye Wimalaghana Nayaka thero, Ven. Thiniyawala Palitha Thero, Chief Incumbent of the Navinna Raja Maha Viharaya and the Monaragala District Chief Sanghanayaka Ven Paradande Indrarathana thero, Viharadikari Ven. Pusselle Saradha Thero, Minister Wijedasa Rajapakse, politicians and many others participated on this occasion.
