Since all the terrorists groups linked to the Easter Sunday attack have been eliminated and the national security in the country has been restored there is no security threat in the country now, President MaithripalaSirisena said.
President made these comments during a ceremony today (5) to hand over a monastery at PolonnaruwaAnandaVidyaNikethanaya.
This monastery was built under Awakening Polonnaruwa programme at a cost of Rs. 13.3 million.
Addressing the gathering President said he took measures to restore freedom and democracy in the country during last four and half years.
People of all faiths lived in harmony but the situation changed after April 21st attack said the President while adding now the country is back to normalcy.
At this peaceful environment everyone should contribute their fair share to bring forward the development process of the country in an effective manner, President emphasized.
